A systematic scoping review of dental anomalies associated with cleft lip and palate patients

Objective: The aim of this systematic scoping review is to explore the data regarding dental anomalies related oral clefts. Methodology: A literature search was conducted by two independent reviewers focusing on all types in cleft lip and palate (CLP) patients. string developed searched through PubMed Scopus database identify relevant articles. Identification for additional studies performed a manual reference lists selected Each article then qualitatively analyzed using Atlas’s software. Results Discussion: Eight that stated prevalence CLP patients were included no language restrictions imposed. Despite lack standardization reporting,dental tooth form or shape, number teeth, structural disturbances, eruption sequence noted. Conclusion: Among group, agenesis found as most common anomaly with lateral incisor being commonly involved.The use standardized classifications protocols report will be beneficial clinicians researchers identification better management conditions.
